Sequía del Caroní “tumba” generación en Guri de 10 millones a 2 millones de kilovatios hora

Venezuela y las consecuencias del fenómeno el niño:

 La fuerte sequía consecuencia del fenómeno climatológico conocido como El Niño, y la consecuente ausencia de lluvias, ha disminuido en un 80 por ciento el caudal del río Caroní y sus afluentes para alimentar la presa de Gurí en Ciudad Guayana, generadora del más del 70 por ciento del suministro energético en Venezuela, como ha confirmado Francois Morillo, gerente de la División de Planta Guri de la empresa estatal Electrificación del Caroní (Edelca).
